Clearwater Day-Trader Accused of Grand Theft

A Clearwater lady who ran a day-trader business out of her home has been arrested and charged with Grand Theft after apparently using $410,000 that had been entrusted to her for investment’s sake for her own personal gain.

Paul Jallo of Tarpon Springs invested in Adriana Abreu’s company Island Way Property Management. After several months of no returns on his investment, he asked for his money back. Abreu wrote him checks but they bounced. Abreu had promised a 10% return on investment each month.

Abreu had been in the Pinellas County Jail until Monday night when she posted $50,000 bail.
