FAQs, Criminal Defense in Clearwater

If I refuse consent and they want to search anyway, what can I do?

Do nothing. Do not run or interfere with the officers. If you resist or do something, they may have grounds to arrest you and search anyway. If they search your home after you have denied consent and without a sufficient legal basis, there is possibly a legal basis to suppress any evidence they may find.
